A PRACTICAL HR LENS ON THE EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS ACT 2025
The Employment Rights Act 2025 represents one of the most significant reforms to UK employment law in decades, with wide-ranging implications for HR teams.
In their latest analysis, Fox Williams LLP highlights the need for employers to prepare for major changes, including shorter qualifying periods for unfair dismissal, evolving protections around “fire and rehire”, expanded employee entitlements, and a strengthened enforcement regime. HR teams are encouraged to review contracts, policies and people practices to ensure readiness as reforms are phased in.
