Resourcing & Assessment Roundtable – Are you assessing the candidate, or their use of AI?

16/07/26
08:30
In-person

Join us on 16th July for the City HR Resourcing & Assessment Roundtable, kindly hosted by Richard McArdle, Aon and co-lead by Sarah Alexander, Oakleaf.

Talent Acquisition teams across Financial Services are facing a new wave of challenges as AI reshapes how candidates present themselves, how assessments are designed, and how hiring decisions are made.

This roundtable will create space for an open, practical discussion about the real tensions TA leaders are navigating,  from organisational risk appetite to the shifting expectations of candidates and hiring managers.

Areas to explore include:

  • What challenges or risks are we facing when assessing capability when AI is used to draft CVs, prepare for interviews and provide model answers?
  • How to balance innovation with regulatory and reputational risk – where could AI use cross the line?
  • What is your organisational appetite for AI use in the recruitment process and what are the guardrails?
  • How is AI reshaping the role, skills and value of TA teams?

From invisible keywords buried in CVs, to AI-scripted interview answers and algorithm-ranked shortlists, AI is reshaping attraction, assessment and hiring decisions. This roundtable will be the opportunity to explore risks, compare approaches and explore where we could draw the line.

Date & time: 16th July 2026. 8.30am arrival for networking over breakfast, 9am discussion start, finishing at 10.30am

Location: Aon, The Leadenhall Building, 122 Leadenhall St, London EC3V 4AN.

If you have a burning question to ask this Special Interest Group, you can let us know beforehand by emailing info@cityhr.co.uk and this can be shared with the co-leads.
