Last September, City HR held a Governance Roundtable and promised to hold a follow-up which takes place on 9th February.   This has proved extremely timely, with the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) having recently published their consultation paper on the UK Corporate Governance Code which closes at the end of February.   We are pleased to announce that this free roundtable will cover this and also include an overview of the BSB’s impending publication on “Making Certification Decisions” for those currently – and soon to be – in scope of SMCR, insights from the FRC on their proposed new code and a chance to be involved in the City HR Consultation Response on a non-attributable basis.

* Introduction and the latest on SMCR, Culture and Governance:  Latest developments including the approbation surrounding executive pay and gender equality.

Marian Bloodworth, Kemp Little and Joanne Owers,  DAC Beachcroft

*Making certification decisions and dealing with risks and issues

Caroline Halstead-Smith,  Banking Standards Board

*  Overview of the consultation on the UK Corporate Governance Code

Paul George,   Financial Reporting Council

The session will inform the non-attributable drafting of a City HR response to the FRC’s Consultation Paper on the UK Corporate Governance Code.
