Lamiece Abdalla

Lamiece Abdalla is Principal, Head of Human Resources for Europe and the Americas at Vanguard. She leads the regional HR function and is part of the leadership team shaping and delivering business strategy across multiple geographies and regulated entities.

A senior HR leader and trusted board advisor, Lamiece has a strong track record of shaping people, talent and operating model decisions that strengthen business performance in complex, global environments. She partners closely with boards, CEOs and executive teams on people strategy, governance, succession and organisational effectiveness.

Since joining Vanguard in 2018, she has held a number of senior leadership roles, including Head of HR for the Global Investment Management Group and Head of HR Business Partnering for Europe. She has led large-scale transformation programmes, redesigned operating models to improve efficiency and impact, and built high-performing HR leadership teams.

Her work spans talent and succession, culture and inclusion, regulatory and remuneration governance, and organisational transformation, with a focus on strengthening people-risk oversight and leadership capability. Lamiece brings over 20 years of experience across global financial services, including senior HR roles at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and Barclays Investment Bank. She sits on the Vanguard Asset Management and Vanguard Pension Trustee UK boards, and is a standing member of the Enterprise Talent Committee.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from University College London.
